Have you ever wondered where some of our modern day customs originated, like lighting bonfires in celebration of the longest day of the year.   Summer Solstice celebrations are steeped in tradition and hold cultural significance around the world.  Join Wendy as she explores the myths, legends and lore of Midsummer Festivals from ancient Roman, Egyptian, Scandinavian, and Celtic civilizations.  Discover why the summer solstice is often the most important festival of the year for those in the northern climates where the sun is the weakest and the growing season the shortest and the many ways it is celebrated today.
